Great app, only one complaint. I wish there were more things non-premium people could do. You get the basic things like writing entries, but I wish I could still create multiple journals and sync up to my other devices with the basic version. It's still a great app though! You can write down all the important things in life to remember later in a few years!

I love how it syncs easily--right in there with the Apple ecosystem.
  • Sad about sync

As an old user I had at least two options for sync. I get very tired of developers getting greedy and ignoring the existing services that were created for this purpose just so that they can do a money grab. They originally charged for the app and I originally paid for it, and then they took away the options of syncing that were in the first version of the product. Now in the second version they have ripped all of you off by removing those options and being only on the paid version. Icloud was built for this purpose and I do not trust you guys with my content. You don't get the right to own our content on your servers. You guys should be ashamed of yourself for the bait and switch.
  • Worth it

Yes, it's subscription. Yes it's more money than it was in the past. But - yes, developers who make the awesome stuff we use every day need to be rewarded for their creativity and hard work. I'm a very frugal person. I hate wasting money. This is not a waste. Journaling can have such a positive impact on my mind and body. The health benefits alone outweigh what I'd pay to my doctor or the drug companies. Help support sustainable business models and don't nickel and dime app developers. They need to not only cover their hosting costs and other business expenses - they need to make a living.

Even though I had to pay in order for it to be usable, it is worth it to have such a great tool to help me document my life privately.
  • Crash and reboot bug

Very very annoying bug with pictures showing up as small white cubes. I've been patient with the developers for over a year now and unfortunately will leave this review with one star. I've been using Day once they the app hit the App Store. I have it on all my devices iPad, iPhone and MacBooks and Macs. I am also a year paid subscribing customer. Last few months have been painstakingly horrible with this app. It constantly crashes. Then it crashes my iPhone 6 Plus. Usually when I try to add more than 10 pictures at a time to my journal entry. Then there's a bug that my pictures will not show up. They are instead displayed by a square thumbnail icon. I have been back and forth with all the tech support personnel and they still say they can not replicate the issue therefore can not fix it. This is unreal. When you decide to charge a yearly paid subscription now to your already paid app, you should fix these issues asap. You guys should seriously reconsider your priorities. This is unacceptable.

This is by far one of my favorite apps on my phone. It's very simple and easy to use. I love how easy I can write down a journal entry and add a time and place, maybe a photo. Every entry is nicely recorded and organized. I use this for many notes, entries or blog articles I want to remember by copy and pasting. I also love having an option to have multiple journals which I can access by tabbing over and customizing the color for better organization. I give this app 5 stars easily!
