  • Fun for a while, then p2w rears it’s ugly head

Fun little strategy game, an interesting take on tactical chess like gameplay of games like final fantasy tactics and fire emblem, if a bit too easy. One of the aspects I had the most fun with was the arena, up until I hit the gold tier, or as I like to call it the p2w tier. 99% of the people I fought after that point were able to kill my units in one shot with regular attacks while I couldn’t even get their health down 10% by the end of the match. Another potentially good game ruined by micro transactions, I would gladly pay 20 or even 30 dollars for a game like this without any extra purchases. Would definitely avoid this game if you’re the type who can’t stop yourself from buying micro transactions because this game loves to throw them in your face when you least expect it, I have accidentally hit a few purchase buttons because of how sudden they pop up, luckily I never confirmed the purchases. In short a good game for those with self control in regards to spending, just don’t expect to get far without paying way more than you should have to. Also really nice music.
  • Fun but... Limiting experience...

Very similar to most mobile RPG games out these days, it’s a fun game. The 2D artwork is nice but some of the 3D artwork isn’t the greatest. Some of the stances and movement is awkward and it it’s the 3D rendering doesn’t do the 2D artwork justice. Plus if you have enemies facing coming from both front and back, shouldn’t the characters face the direction that they are attacking? In some of the game play you have your characters back facing you while it attacks and then turns around. The play style is turn based but the PVP is limited in moves and overly draped on the fact your standing on the right buff which is limited to the 3 squares in the center that divide the two teams. Game play is fun and it is nice that you can auto play but some of the AI is not the brightest but if you really want to enjoy the game I guess it’s best not to rely on it. But people on the go sometimes like the quick plays that allow them to progress with minimal attention. The general requirements needed for playing some levels is too excessive. If a level requires a key to play it shouldn’t also require stamina. Having duel costs for certain levels that require a key should just be subjugated to the key requirements. The cost of stamina per level on the events gets over priced. Im still new to the game with a total of 4-5 days play time but at level 40 I only have a max stamina limit of 40, the level to stamina ratio is fine but it should reflect accordingly to the costs per level. I play three or four rounds of certain levels that have a cost requirement of 7+ and there goes play time. They should either lower the stamina costs or increase stamina limits per player. Currency for game is all over the place, gold and gem costs to valiant points and limit breaks cost and medal requirements for class changes. All a bit excessively overpriced ex. the requirements to get to that 5 star which require 50 medals but you have a limit of 7 keys per day to get those medals is by far the most depressing. Yes you can complete some quests or events that give you an extra key here and there but it would take a minimum of 8 days without extra keys or purchases to unlock a single character to 5 star. I currently have 8-9 characters just idle because the costs for those keys for a refill are 25 gems and then 50 gems after the first refill purchase a day. But to level you still have to unlock the limit breaks by burning fondest. Usually you see a system that plays one or the other with minimal secondary requirements. Seems heavy on both ends. The cost for re-rolling faith and limit breaks are beyond me. It would be better to just purchase the character then sacrificing a 5 star. But that’s just personal preference. Costs and value association in the game is flawed and all over the place. This was a mere standing perspective on the status of the game. I’m no way shape or form my review is implying that the game itself is not enjoyable. It’s a review to point out that there are a good amount of flaws in the system that need balancing.

It's a giant cash grab. No if ands and it buts about it. Being able to "customize" the look of your character only includes your left and right hands. You can buy vanity items like wings, capes, and costumes to further it. Disappointed that body armor, helms, boots etc doesn't change characters looks but maybe it does and I haven't bought the 30 dollar bundle yet

Fun game but could use more story I guess? The one that is there is good but the game which is addictive can be completed at a fast rate in my opinion and then you just up the difficulty and do it all again but without the story. Or at least alter the story for the harder difficulties.
  • Decent game but shady in game purchase popups

I enjoy most aspects of this game except the way they continually pop up purchase prompts right before when you would press a button to exit a fight or dungeon etc. basically it forces you to press a purchase button if you're not extremely careful. Very annoying and kind of slimy feeling. If you have kids playing the game be very careful that iTunes sign ins are closely monitored.

This is a really great game with a lot of impressive detail! They only part that really bugs me is the updates aren’t working as well. I can’t get on without it telling me I need to update but it won’t let me update through the App Store. So I’m currently booted off?

Similar in art and gameplay, each character has different jobs they can upgrade to and you get to pick them. You can customize the looks of your characters as well. Fun and challenging game. Deserves a higher rating that just 4 stars.
  • Severe Sever Connection Issues

This game might be fun if I could play for more than 5 mins without having a server connection error. It takes 30+ mins to get connected to the game with constant retries, only to experience more connection issues once you're in the game, causing you to restart the app and the issues all over again.
  • This game is awesome
