  • Basically useless without going A-list

    By TrevorHendricks1245
The fact that you can’t see who likes you without going a-list pretty much defeats the purpose of this app. If you’re gonna make it free then make it to where it’s usable when you don’t go a-list. I understand you need to earn money i get that but when you make it to where you can’t even see who likes you if you don’t upgrade then what’s the point? Just make the app the cost of going a-list to begin with and don’t make people believe that they’re getting something that is a step above tinder for free
  • Mostly great

    By Eimikowai
I just wish there were a way to disable the little pop up in app where it says 600+ likes, new like etc. it’s so annoying, and I’m not going to pay money to sift through that many likes that’s just overwhelming...
  • Aggressive ad audio takeover

    By Trisheep
It’s completely understandable that there are ads, but please don’t take over my audio output. Give me an option to listen to it or not. Otherwise it’s just not a nice thing to do. Maybe there can be a reprioritization between short term ad revenue and long term user engagement?
  • All the bloody changes

    By MissMCat
I got a developer response. Probably because I used the word developer in my review.... “Sorry to hear about this. Using OkCupid to find matches, send messages, and seeing mutual likes (when two people like one another) is free, so if you start to Like people, you will see if they like you, too! A lot of people find matches without paying for extra features. Hope this helps." So. To answer. Yes of course when there are mutual likes etc etc. and we can find someone even though it’s free... my point was and still is. STOP showing me on quick-match the SMOKERS, Heavy drinkers, potheads **and** polyamory people. I don’t give a crap if they like me. The answer is ****always**** no for a smoker. And always no for all the rest. People are irritated because the app has become a time waster. And we still are shown smokers. NO. The uniqueness of Ok Cupid for me was the questions. I valued the ability to quickly look at how somebody perhaps voted in the election, if they think homosexuality is a sin etc. etc. etc. this was of *high value* to me and I was going to be willing to pay for a membership. But. In quick match I end up wasting *hours* each week being shown men that have DEAL breaker habits. Heavy drinking. Smoking. Potheads. It’s why I won’t subscribe. Need to be able to actually refine who we are shown both on quick match *or* the grid. I don’t care if the hottest man on the planet with millions of dollars is interested in me if he’s a drunk or a heavy smoker or a pothead I’m not gonna be interested in him. I also had to actually google why profiles disappeared after a contact. I found it confusing since it was a *new* and supposedly better feature. When an app makes that many changes and people are pretty well universally irritated you would think the developers would pay attention. After all, isn’t the end game to get us to PAY???? I was all set to subscribe to the website and you made so many changes and I waste so much time going through profiles of men that have complete dealbreaker‘s with bad habits. Don’t waste my time showing me a smoker on quick match it’s that simple. I will *never* be interested in a smoker *ever*. At this point I’m just gonna go ahead and funnel my resources into a high-end gym membership. I don’t have a lot of resources so this is saying something. I’m not a cheapskate and I value the right things. Like friends, kindness and healthy food. If the developers want to have an app that stands out- they want to have a website that stands out - then you need to shift a little bit and go back and listen/read what all the people that are complaining or saying are telling you. At this point it’s a pretty consistent theme.

  • Boycotting it just like Snapchat. Disgusted.

    By JazzBerryTigerCandy
I can no longer tolerate this app, it’s tedious. I got the app because I am a busy person. I enjoyed flipping through my messages that people sent and looking at their profile of those who said something. Now I must scroll through dozens of profiles to see MY messages. I don’t care of the excuses the creators have. I have the right to my messages. It’s not fun to scroll through profiles that you don’t care about. There is too much pressure to “like” that it’s seems forced. If I don’t press “like” I don’t get to talk. I will most likely download other dating apps because I deserve to see my own messages. Also all my old book marks are gone from before, I lost track of older profiles I really liked and were talking to. The app itself however is good quality and has very few bugs. Very disappointed in the major changes, hopefully others will agree with me and they (the app) will fix their message restrictions and deleted bookmarks. I am only one person, but I hope if enough people stop using the app for a long time they will return to how it used to be, just like when people boycotted the bad Snapchat update and Snapchat decided to go back. I am very disappointed and their is nothing they can do until they let us see our messages and old bookmarks. I lost track of so many nice people. I do dislike you can’t see a profile once you message them because sometimes I forget to bookmark
