HOW IT WORKS Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of 15,000 ground stations around the world to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration, we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders. Coverage in North America is also supplemented by real-time radar data. Coverage is variable and subject to change at any time. CONNECT WITH FLIGHTRADAR24 We love getting feedback on FR24. This App is really good, nothing really bad about it. Just wish you could add ATC to it?

Our whole community was using this app to follow the air tenders and helis for the Tubbs/Potter/Nun/Atlas fires we're experiencing right now in N CA. It was our only peace of mind when we would see flames on our ridge. I could just kiss the app maker. We love this app, but pray we never have to use it for an emergency again.

Coolest App I've seen in a long time! Great job! You should pair up with LiveATC
  • Full screen ads?

Seriously, the small adds in the details bar were understandable and not obtrusive but full screen ads for stupid kid games is too much.

I want to give this app 5 stars BUT feel shorted because I paid to upgrade (previous app) - and then they stopped upgrading the previous app but released a new app - I have to repay for the upgrade?!?!?!? I tried to restore purchase but it doesn’t work. What gives?

I use this app (with Gold subscription) to track inbound aircraft (and their chain of flights). This way I know if A) the aircraft is arriving the night before and so I have almost nothing to worry about or B) if the inbound aircraft for my flight hasn’t been delayed somewhere during the day before the airline bothers to notify me. The inflight arrival estimates are great and generally accurate. So knowing all this information helps me save time and most importantly reduces stress. I grant that sometimes there may be a backup aircraft available if the inbound aircraft is late but that is the exception to the rule. I am an #AvGeek so knowing all about the aircraft I’m flying on (and that being always accurate so far) is just thrilling (only #AvGeeks get thrilled about flying commercially....... it is a good way to live ;-) Only suggestion? Please synchronize my iPad filters with my iPhone filters :-)
