Learn and look up guitar chords and scales. Play electric and acoustic guitar, right on your iPhone or iPad. Record riffs, and share them with friends. Full fingerings show you which fingers to put where, with barres clearly labeled to get you up and down the fretboard. Built-in guitar lessons help you go from zero to guitar hero. Know how to play it but not what it's called? Reverse ChordFinder mode lets you tap the fretboard and identify any of the thousands of chords inside of ChordBank. Clean, clear interface makes choosing chords a snap. Full left handed support for all fingerings. Strum to hear any chord played from gorgeous, crisp audio samples. Sounds great from the iPhone speaker, or headphones to brush up on chords in private.

  • Top notch chord encyclopedia

I did the upgrade and really enjoy the wide range of chords available. I can plug in the type of chord I want and find it all the way up and down the fret board. I didn't upgrade high enough to get lessons but that's what I pay my teacher for.
  • great app

intuitive, easy to navigate hard chords.
  • Useless unless you pay

    By Fender>Gibson
Just a warning - Only the most basic of chords are free. If you want to pay $.99 for each kind of chord (6, 7, diminished and so on and that $.99 adds up) then it's a great app. I wish they had an add supported version or a 2 day trial of the full version then a flat unlock fee.

Really good app, shows you all the chords at every fret, chord progressions etc. Gives you lessons, scales and more. Even has a part where you punch in the chord you're playing and it'll tell you what the chord is. Wish it showed the power chords though.
  • Pay for chord variations

You have to pay for extra chords that's ridiculous. I can see paying for the lessons or help but he chords themselves should be free
