You have to pay to use the program you have already purchased. Not worth it.
  • Additional payment/subscription required to use on iPad

    By KateElyse
I love the Rosetta Stone program but it's the only thing I've ever purchased that charges more money to use it on an iPad/additional device, even after you've purchased the program. I paid so much to have it and it stinks I can't use it on my iPad too. I have to sit at my computer to use it. I made progress but stopped bc I didn't want to pay more and preferred using it with my iPad.
  • Worth the money

True, DuoLingo is free. But if you're serious about learning a particular language, Rosetta Stone is worth it. It will help you tremendously with your pronunciation and vocabulary. Grammar for me is a little harder in Rosetta Stone because it doesn't explain things. That's on purpose. They want you to learn naturally through immersion.
  • Wish it had writing

App is good, but I wish it had the writing portion. Also think that the pronunciation is not that sensitive. I had the computer discs originally and found that it was harder to get full credit for the pronunciation. I know that my speaking needs work, so I am a bit disappointed by that.
  • Very useful

This really helped me learn how to understand (read, comprehend) the Japanese language and to be honest the price is high but...it's worth the investment.

I was very exited to download this app. But I soon discovered that you can only get as far as one lesson done in any language without having to pay 200 dollars! 200 DOLLARS! Not everyone has that kind of money laying around. There is not free trial or anything.and it's not even 200 for all the languages it's 200 for EACH LANGUAGE! It seems like a good learning tool but it's too expensive.
  • Frustrating

    By b0rr0urlight
This is a great app when it's working properly. Unfortunately, most of the time it isn't. It keeps freezing and crashing, for one. Sometimes it will randomly decide to erase your progress. And most frustratingly, it will not give you access to all the content you have PAID for (I'm talking about error message whenever I try to download a story from the "extended learning" section). Reporting these issues got me nowhere so I'm leaving this review instead. Don't charge so much if you're not going to deliver.
  • Great way to start learning!

Just a perfect program for me, I just wish I could practice more but unless you are leaving in Brazil or Germany ( languages I got) would be even better. Overall great way to learn!
