  • Finds almost every wine but year is an issue

2/21/18 The app keeps crashing and shutting down. Had to delete and reinstall 3 times. It also seems way more concerned with selling than rating wines or giving information. Old review: It finds almost every wine but year is an issue. It seems to find the winemaker based on the label photograph but if there's a vintage it struggles at times. I consider myself tech savvy & if I don't know something I'll take the time to learn or teach myself, that being said, the app functionality isn't the most intuitive. I can't imagine some of my parents friends who want to use the app knowing how to navigate it.
  • Used to be a lot better. Crashes a lot and it no longer finds wines as quickly as it used to

I drink quite a few different wines. I love to dabble. It is impossible to remember everything which is why every wine I drink is stored in my Delectable account. It's a quick reference to see what people have thought of the wines and, most importantly, a reminder if I've had it before.
  • Useful and enjoyable!

I like this app to see what others are drinking and what they recommend. So much information about all different wines right in your pocket! I’m a newbie when it comes wine but this app helps me feel like an expect. I also like that you can keep track of wine you like or don’t for future reference.
  • Stupidity & Greed ruins another App

Really liked this app. Used it sporadically but it was there when I needed it. It is helpful in identifying / understanding a wine selection, but $72/ year is highway robbery for this level of usefulness. How about letting us order wine through you and make your money there instead of via these obnoxious, irrelevant ADs?? That would be beneficial to both you AND your customers. Or don't you care...? (UPDATED RATING TO 4 STARS WITH REMOVAL OF ADs. Nice to see the developer responding to customer feedback!)
  • Useful way to archive wines

Like ability to keep record of wine and notes, and learn of other possibilities. When wine doesn't match and you submit review request, either reviewers don't exist, or they don't pay enough attention to correct. Frustrating. I also wonder if it might be possible to limit how many wines any one person can post on any given day. When someone seems to post 50+ reviews in a single setting, it overwhelms a feed, making it hard to see/find other reviews. If nothing else, it would be useful to be able to block those who do such review dumps.
  • Best wine app makes me an expert

Love this app. I can walk into any random store and take a photo of any wine or champagne and it instantly pulls up hundreds of reviews. It tells me what others think of it, what it tastes like, the price, where to buy it. It's the best. Necessary for any wine or food lover, party goer, or a newbie to the wine world.
  • Overall, good...

But what the hell is up with the 6.1-10 rating scale?? Who decided that was a good idea?
  • Not very useful

I use the app to record ratings for the wines that I drink. Other than that, I haven't found much use. It would be nice if it could provide better recommendations, or give me a taste profile that's useful when talking to a wine retailer, or link to interesting wine articles or resources based on my wine preferences.
