  • Just awesome

My kids and I love watching the ships go through the St. Lawrence, and now we know where they are headed and info about them!
  • Great for the sport fisherman too

I find Marine Traffic very beneficial for saltwater sports fishing. Knowing where the commercial fleet is fishing, whether they are together or spread out, helps me know where I should go. In poor visibility it compliments the radar giving me early speed and course information.
  • Needs Serious Fix

We are in Annapolis, the app shows us 65 miles south. Everyone tracking us is getting the same. Signal was lost from Charleston to Beaufort, NC - concerned, our Float Plan monitor contacted the USCG who radioed to make certain we were ok. Our AIS is transmitting, the app shows it off. So for $4.99, it should work. Right?

  • Great app for ship watchers

Love watching the old "lakers" go by on the St. Lawrence but they are growing few in number. With this app I can track specific ships and know when to be looking for them. Great app I've used for years!
  • Very Useful

  • Worth every cent!

My parents have a cottage on Lake Huron in Michigan. We can see freighters and other boats out in the distance but not close enough to see their names and other details. Just open the app and you can find out what freighter or boat it is, see pictures, see where they are coming from and going and much more. It's great for anyone that likes boat and freighter watching especially if you live on the water.
  • Great App

As a maritime transportation driver I have found this app very useful. I like that you can click on the map and locate a docked ship. The use of Google maps helps with the streets to the vessel. Before I pick up a crewman I know what the ship looks like and where it is flagged.

  • Excellent resource for budding boat nerds

This is the most reliable app for identifying boats on the Great Lakes. Not perfect all the time, but the best I've found so far.
