The original AdBlock - the last ad blocker you'll ever need. We've been blocking ads on iPhones and iPads since 2012 - we know our game :) AdBlock allows you to block ads on your iOS device. Get rid of 99% of annoying popups, banners and video ads. Protect your privacy, limit bandwidth use, speed up your device, save battery and drastically improve your day-to-day iOS experience. The most important advantages of AdBlock are: • AdBlock works with Wi-Fi and cellular networks. You don't need to set it up separately for every network you use. • AdBlock has a local DNS proxy service built in. Use it to see which domains you're device is contacting. Create your own rules and assign any IP address to any domain right on your device. • AdBlock has enhanced DNS proxy rules export and import function. Share DNS proxy rules with other users, easily import rules found on the Internet. • AdBlock allows you to create your own list of domains and synchronise your rules between all your devices using iCloud. • AdBlock allows you to protect your privacy by blocking mobile trackers. Prevent Internet trackers from recording of your activity. • AdBlock does not send your Internet traffic through any remote server. All of your connections stay direct, fast and secure. Ads are blocked on your device. • Setting up AdBlock is very simple! Just download the app, and follow the tutorial to set everything up. • AdBlock automatically updates to the latest version of the filters on every app run. We keep the ad servers database up-to-date for you. • AdBlock comes with a very handy widget to quickly enable or disable DNS proxy on your device. Looking for support? • Still see ads everywhere

Doesn’t work, sends all traffic through VPN for nothing
  • Waste of money

Other ad blockers work better for safari while ad block doesn’t block much from other apps including chrome. I want my money back...

    Waste of $2
  • Doesn’t support many domains

After loading my personal hosts database of about 49800 domains, it deactivated by its own. It lasts 10 mins activated and then deactivates by itself. Yes, I know that’s a lot of domains. But if you don’t know what kind of information you’re giving away, take a look to the out connections your apps do.
  • Unfortunately degrading

It was the best blocking app. After they were obliged by Apple to switch from local VPN to DNS, the app became a battery hog (42% in 10 min). It also keeps on shutting down even when the background app refresh is enabled so you would need to open the app, switch off the DNS, close the app then open it up again to turn on the DNS to make it work again. After four months I switched to another blocking app. Which by the way block ads inside apps also...

Doesn’t seem to work on YouTube
  • Great

You can block anything in any app which in the end works better than any other AdBlocker.
  • This literally blocks nothing

This app is literally useless. I thought it would be worth the small investment to buy this one time, but after having had it for 1 month I am extremely disappointed. Ads still popping up on articles, when opening new pages, in the middle of content, and on every YouTube video in the app and on safari. What an utter waste. I suspect they paid for a bunch of fake reviews that's how they seemed so credible. Don't be fooled like me.
  • It works until it doesn’t

The cycle goes something like this: 1. I install the app. 2. I go through the tutorial 3. It does it’s “Setting up iCloud sync”. I cannot leave the app until it’s done, otherwise it won’t finish 4. After what takes forever I import a hosts file like Steven Blacks host file 5. I wait till it finishes import (which takes about an hour) 6. I turn on adblock 7. It throws an error, something like the VPN profile cannot be read or written to 8. I try again and it works. 9. Day 2 I see ads again 10. Open the app, “Setting up iCloud sync” again......
