  • Not good enough. Flawed!

1 App could use a complete UI refresh. Very rudimentary with lousy graphics 2 Sync is not accurate. I've gone over this with Banktivity support. Don't know if it's a bug in B6 or what. My investment accounts that I have to update unit prices manually in B6 don't sync to the mobile app. Those investment account balances do not update in the mobile app. I have to do a complete overwrite of the Cloud data and then write that data to the mobile app. This is a major problem for me and no one has a solution even though support acknowledges the problem. 3 No support for tags in the mobile app. Tags do not get synced. The desktop software seems to work well, although there are a few quirky things there too. The mobile app needs work.
  • Very good app

The app is very good, and I like how it integrates with the desktop version easily. I have one complaint regarding a change made in a recent update - I dislike how, when I put in an entry for an existing payee/entity where the total changes, the app updates all the split entries automatically. For example, my paycheck changes in the latter part of the year when social security is no longer withheld. That is the only change that I would need to make in the entry, but the app auto adjusts all of the split items. I wish the developers would change the app/desktop version to keep all of the split items steady until the user can manually make the change. Thanks!
  • Great app. One big miss, though.

Like the app. Good functionality for the phone. Only big miss I see is that there is no overall net worth display and no sub totals by account type groupings. That would make it 5 stars for me.
  • I'm looking for Mint Pro and this is almost it

It's great that the app leverages cloud sync/downloads of more accounts than Quicken does, which is why I abandoned Quicken. I'm really looking for basic summaries/totals in the iPhone app which for some strange reason are missing. Why not have a tab for cash totals, credit card debt totals, investment totals, net worth, et cetera??!? I shouldn't have to buy a separate iPad app just too see basics like that.
  • Leave a bad review and get poor service?

I left a review of a previous version of the app that was less than flattering. The biggest problem with the app has to do with the way they do direct access to accounts. Since every bank's website is different they have to write software for how to download the transactions to the software. I bank at a credit union that appears on their list of direct access banks and reported the software's inability to access my accounts there back in April. They still haven't fixed the problem even after repeated attempts to seek support from them and I still have to manually import my transactions for my primary banking account 5 months later. I've received no updates from them and last time I contacted them they just told me that they were working on it. Very frustrated and looking for alternatives.
  • Great sidekick to the desktop version

I use the iPhone app almost entirely to just enter point of sale purchases into my petty cash accounts. It does a fine job at that. I began using Banktivity software with v5 on the Mac plus the iPhone app with more than a year ago. I set up both syncing between devices and direct access with my bank. I've had some challenges along the way. But they pale by comparison to the insurmountable problems I had with Quicken the year before. Live chat isn't the best or my favorite but it has gotten the job done. The lag time between an actual bank transaction and when that would show up in BT v5 was usually two days, sometimes longer. Happily now with v6 on the Mac, I've seen that reduced to 10 minutes.
  • Needs an update!!

While this app is reliable it is extremely slow. From what I can see this app has not been updated in quite some time. It needs to incorporate the ability to import pictures of receipts at the time of data entry. Also, after the app is opened it takes quite some time for it to update before data entry can even occur. This needs to be streamlined for more efficient and faster data entry.

Both versions are great and online support is great. Took a bit for me to get phone to sync with computer. Had to delete old app on phone and start again a few times. There was a glitch. But I renamed new version in cloud sync and that seemed to do the trick.

Too many log ins.. should b able To log n and see the information. Why "create a document"??? Please make it more user friendly
  • Overall good. Should have Totals for each section

Overall the app does what I need it to do. I have access to all my account no matter where I am so that I have up to date financial information. My biggest pet peeve about it is, why aren't there at least section totals (Total amount for Bank Accounts, Toatl amount for Credit Cards, etc). But ideal it would have both the section totals and a Grand Total (Net Worth) at the bottom of the App. This is a HUGE miss on the developers part.
